I want to get off birth control... but I'm terrified
I have been on continuous birth control for over 6 years. Been on birth control in general for over 10 years. I know I want to try and get pregnant within the next few years. I am absolutely terrified of getting off birth control. I did that once and it turned into emergency surgery for a 7cm cyst (which also claimed one fallopian tube). Every time I think I've made up my decision to get off birth control, I talk myself out of it. It doesn't help that I have a highly demanding physical job where I must athletically preform. I wouldn't be able to do what I do without excision surgery and birth control. I see a lot of people advocate for continuous birth control (I do too, it changed my life for the better). But, is there anyone out there who has gone off the pill for whatever reason and lived to tell the tale? Hearing other folks experience helps when you're navigating this confusing disease. Thanks in advance.
