Newbie question: is it worth installing llama2 locally?

I have some knowledge of IT issues, but I must admit that at the moment I am truly ignorant of everything related to generative AI.

I've been taking advantage of ChatGPT and I'm tempted to install llama 2 and use it locally. The problem is that to install it you would have to spend a lot of money on a suitable computer. On the other hand, I can get the premium version of chatGPT for only 20usd per month.

Beyond privacy, what are the advantages?

By installing llama 2, can I get better responses than ChatGPT4 by telling the program to use more tokens?
