Situational Awareness
Just an FYI, if you see a big orange sign that says, "tree work ahead," and you have workers actively, albeit temporarily, holding up foot and vehicular traffic, don't try to run the blockade. It's for our safety, but mostly it's for yours. We are literally trying to keep a falling tree or large branch from permanently rearranging your anatomy.
Normally I wouldn't make a post like this, because it seems like common sense, but after having this happen three times on a four hour job, I'm really questioning people's situational awareness, or sense of urgency/ inconvenience that nullifies self preservation.
In this specific case, I'm looking at you, Ferndale drivers. But I've seen plenty of WWU students blissfully walk through a drop zone literally sidestepping us as we keep trying to put ourselves between them and the falling debris.
