Combining finances… with credit cards

Hey all, recently married and trying to figure out how to get the most out of point utilization but also having an organized account .

My wife does not have any credit cards.

I have 4 credit cards with CHASE

  • 2 ultimates
  • 1 CSR
  • 1 flex

For full transparency my wife and I want to combine our finances. Our views align with that and I completely agree. But, we want to be able to allot specific amount of money as our own “fun money” where neither of us can see it (gifts, hobbies, etc)

I’m kinda confused how this works.

  1. if I add my wife as an AU on all my cards (for joint spending, etc) do we have out own personal log in , or would we have to share the same log in?

  2. if we have to share the same log in, is there any way to create separate accounts for a separate credit card for our “fun money” expenditures?

  3. my wife owns a business and we want to keep all expenses on one card due to tax issues (both high income earners and it’s a pain in the ass). Should we apply for a business credit card through chase and just keep that as a separate log in for the business only?
