Reliability
I have a decent number of snow blowers, and I’ve begone to tune them all up again and I’ve noticed a trend with which ones are the most reliable. In my experience all my toros with either toro motors, or Tecumseh motors are bullet proof for the most part, easy to work on and can be beat on. Next on my list comes the Snow techs I have most of them are really good except the new ones with Briggs and stray on motors on them. And the bane of my existence are the Troy built’s steer clear if you can.
This is just my experience so take it with a grain of salt. Note I have multiple of all the above brands all found and fixed. All of my 2 stages are on the older side, while my 1 stages are near and have yet to really be put to the test. Hopefully we get snow this year and I’ll be able to really test the 1 stages so I can review them then.
