What does "From river to sea Palastine will be free." Mean?

I keep seeing protests and hearing the chant, but I don't think I fully understand it. I am assuming that it is referring to the Jorden river and the Mediterranean Sea.

But does that mean that the entire State of Isreal will get destroyed? Does that mean that the current State of Israel get taken over by Hamas government?

Or does that mean that Palestinian citizens should be allowed to freely travel anywhere in between the the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea?

I am trying to get a nuanced understanding of what this means. Like what exactly would the legislation look like. What government would issue it.

I do have a basic understanding of the history of the land from the time of the Ottoman Empire. But I am not exactly suer what this chant means.

Or is just a rally cry for a longer conversation and not meant to be taken literally.
