Thief keeps trying to open new accounts and they are using my personal email address

I have frozen everything so there really is nothing that can go through right now but why is this person using my email address to receive their transaction confirmations? They definitely don’t have access to my email! Wouldn’t it be smarter to actually NOT USE my email so I don’t catch it?🙄

I’m planning to request a new SSN. Has anyone been successful in doing so?
