Air handler CFM and heat pump subcooling question

Hello

I have a question about the air flow in my heating / air conditionning system. I wasn't the owner of the house when the system was installed and i'm looking for answer.

I got experience in the HVAC field since I work at a fruit refrigeration facility but I still need informations.

I'm located in Québec Canada and I have a "recent" heatpump system. It was installed in 2021. This fall, I set the heating at ON for the first time. The heat pump and the air handler were running fine. When I put my hand over a register I was expecting the air to be more "hot". I waited for a day to see if the air will be hotter the next day but it's the same temperature.

I calculated the CFM of the airhandler to see if the flow was good. The air handler only have one speed and the CFM in the spect is 1000 CFM. The result from my calculation is 1500 CFM.

Since I have 50% more airflow than the "spec" of the air handler, the temperature comming from the register will be "less" hot.

My real question is : with more CFM than the design, the subcooling will be higher. Should I install restriction disk in the ducts to reduce the CFM of the system or more CFM is not a problem?

Thank you!
