Mid-30’s FIRST Date
For real (Excluding hookups)
Why? Short Answer: choice and chance; career-driven and old school when it comes to romance.
I’m not sure I’ll know how to act or what questions are too much lol I wouldn’t be like this in a non-date interaction/setting.
We match through Hinge, which like many apps out there will always be inevitably about physical attraction, at least at the very first instance. It is convenient sure. But is it “sustainable”?
This is where my old school kicks in. I really prefer to meet someone organically. No swiping. Like in a gathering, event, etc… where we are all in our natural environment. I’m pretty sure this is what most people want, ideally. But life just doesn’t make it happen for a variety of reasons.
We live roughly 100 miles apart so I don’t know how things will progress after this first date. I prefer not to get to know him by having more traditional dinner dates. Sure, we can go hikes, road trips and what not but that still predisposes us to our versions of ourselves wanting to be liked (not the best words) as opposed to just being real and natural. I hope I’m making sense.
