To leave or not to leave
Hey all,
I am 30 years old, 2 kids. I am currently a software developer on £48,000 work 40 hours as a full stack developer. I've been with the company since 2017. Usually I am mostly frontend and been leaning towards it more.
My current company really care for their employees but a lot of redundancies have been made recently unfortunately. We work remote supposed to be once a month in the office but haven't due to different circumstances since around June.
The work is mediocre and I can hold my own in anything I get asked and able to easily do what is asked in shorter time than anticipated.
Now my predicament comes where I am currently in debt on credit cards ect,not sure if that's swaying my decision. But I am torn to move to another company.
I've looked previously and seen that I can get £55,000-£60,000 if I jump but quite bad at interviews then never know what it's like after the unknown as such and imposter syndrome. I want to see what else is out there and work on different things gain more knowledge in different things.
But I feel bad for leaving, they're a good company for personal things, just the pay isn't the best.
I've been told by numerous to just go to another company but I'm really reserved on it and no idea what to do. So opening discussion to Reddit no idea why expecting abuse but what would you do in this scenario?
