Where was the VAR team for this? Did the rules only apply last weekend? (Apologies for the poor photo)

There was 3 incidents just as bad as this yesterday, as was seen last week all would be given to the huns. That’s before we even get into the disallowed Scales goal or using the wrong frame for the offside.

Board need to stop using all their time issuing statements to fans and start calling this shit out. Only in Scottish football can you have a ref/var who’s dad was sacked from the SFA for his anti catholic/anti Celtic views allowed to be involved, conflict of interest must not be a thing in Scotland as the apple clearly doesn’t fall far from the tree

Who's this? What's the context?

4
Skellyceltic•

Hugh Dallas and his son Andrew who was on VAR yesterday

Was Hugh Dallas sacked because of anti catholic views? I've got no memory of this at all, do you have a source?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugh_Dallas

‘Later in November 2010, Dallas faced an inquiry after it emerged that he had allegedly sent what has been described as a sectarian[38] and offensive[39] email referring to the Pope from his SFA email account.’

What frustrates me is the whole punditry scene. If that had been given the pundits would all have backed up the ref. Not given = not a peep

Our board are absolute shitebags, they’ll continue to accept we’re refereed to a different standard. There was a few times the shirt pulling would’ve been a penalty like last week. If this had happened to the huns they’d be right onto the SFA about it, statements put out the lot.

I await with interest Crawford Allan going on radio Scotland to talk about it the way he did with an off side Kyogo goal vs Hibs….

We're refereed to a different standard. For them, the VAR team looked for a foul and gave it when they desperately needed a goal. Been like this for decades. Our board only care about the share price and cash in the bank. Pretty much watching a rigged game.

The disallowed goal was inconclusive and a joke that the onfield decision was overruled. The elbow on Scales was ridiculous. The countless soft fouls RC got when the same ones against Celtic were ignored was ridiculous. I despair with Scottish football but am more annoyed I'm spunking money into celtic when they just don't reciprocate the fans pov.

Penalty to Rangers!

Nothing will change until the clubs call out how bad our refs are up here. It’s not only us being affected.

Refs and VAR don't want to give celtic anything, surprised we've even got 2 penalties. Its just so corrupt.

I think in this case they both have hands on each other.

whitbynutter•

Well, can someone actually tell me if this an offence that VAR can intervene in?

1
Onizz88OP•

Fouls in the box are something VAR can call back for a penalty

Oh stays on his feet and makes contact with the ball. If he goes down, VAR check and we get a pen

hotchy1•

You would think that's the difference. Our players are too honest and never fell over goldson style?

Yet there we have kyogo when struggling mid week get elbowed in the throat, goes down. Nothing.

mikeydoc96:knowsthecity:•

Ohs powerful enough where he can still attack the ball with a shirt pull. If he falls over there, VAR check it and we probably get the pen. As I said though, Oh can still attack the ball even with the shirt pull.

We need to stop the conspiracy nonsense. Refs in this country are just shite and VAR is ran badly everywhere just now.

hotchy1•

It's not conspiracy nonsense, though, is it. The stats actually back the conspiracy up.

an-duine-saorHun Sympathiser•

Let’s see them then.

2
Kolo_ToureHH•

Players don’t need to go down for having their shirt pulled outside the box for the foul to be called.

4
mikeydoc96:knowsthecity:•

In the box at corners they have to. There's too much going on for the ref and VAR to see it without them going down

You've won 10/11 last league titles and are currently 8 points clear at the top I think you'll be ok not getting a one penalty guys

-22
Onizz88OP•

It’s not unreasonable to ask for the rules to be applied fairly and consistently.

9

You guys are that desperate to have something to complain about and act like some hard done by underdogs, huh?

-18
Onizz88OP•

You’re welcome keep reading my previous reply until you get the point.

10

If a team was actually being purposefully handicapped by the refs as this whole thread seems to believe, they wouldn't win weekend and finish top of the league every season. You're believing in a conspiracy to keep yourselves interested.

Kolo_ToureHH•

So just because we’ve won the league, that makes it okay that the refs are complete dog shit in this league?
