Am i the only one that feels horrified by the idea of being vampire cattle?

As the title says, the idea freaks me out endlessly. Being their pet? Sure. But having no choice but to be cattle? Thats horrifying to me, genuiely. Does anyone else feel this way?

Yea that shit would suck

As long as they only take a pint from me every 3 months by sticking a needle in my arm (after making sure I'm in good health, and not sick, anemic, underweight, or pregnant), land let me live my life with the option of becoming a vampire myself at some point, I'd be okay with it.

tankanoOP•

Yeah, thatd be fine by me too, but what if we were treated how we treat cows, or pigs? Like, slaughterhouses stuff.

11
Josette_A•

Nope, fuck that shit, I'd go live in the middle of nowhere and be a "wild" human, even if it means that I'd have to live like how people did in the 1800s and set traps.

tankanoOP•

What if a bunch of vampires, who seemed to be on a trail, aproached you like "awww...its a human, come here!", you talking to them?

5
Josette_A•

Fuck no, it's a trap!

Rozsia•

I would just give you some headpats :3

Nah, just someone with taste and culture, unlike you

Baksteengezicht•

Just eat more garlic?

2
Josette_A•

I think I might be allergic to garlic. It causes problems in my intestines (think along the lines of what happens when people eat too much Taco Bell), and I noticed that it actually tastes like chemicals the other day if eaten straight up.

2

Yeah, I wouldn’t want to be say, a Daybreakers type human especially. That was fucked up

While I find it very uncomfortable, that vampire will have a nasty surprise sucking my blood. I am very iron deficient and take too many painkillers. Also, I will probably perish on the first drink, they would have no use for me.

I never thought of a world where vampires were a dominant species before though.

That sounds awesome for a druggie vamp

No. Don't be. You know what you like and I support that. Rock on, human livestock

for REAL

2
ProserpinaFC•

Yes, it is horrifying, which is why it's my preferred story.

Don't watch/read The Strain--series shows exactly what happens when the monsters win.

Want to be really scared? Actual kidnapping rings have trafficked human blood. Mostly in India, where it is illegal there's a lot of under market people doing it.

BeBa420•

meh, as long as im free range i think ill be okay, but even caged cattle wont be too different from my current life. If they go with the cage option tho id prefer it if i had a smart phone and maybe a playstation

5
RingoCross99•

Your already cattle 🧛

3
tankanoOP•

...if an actual vampire said that to me i would start blowing shit up with c4 and shotguns...in my head. Then i would die.

Vampire Hunter school you go.

Yes, it's a horrifying story element. I also find it sadly ironic: vampire stories/tropes of this kind make the vampires evil by making them view/treat humans how humans treat animals. There's so much to be discussed here, but it's always ended with 'vampires evil, humans good'. The blatant irony and gaslighting are just terrible and sad.

3
Kayanne1990•

It's also a really good way of justifying what vampires do tbh. Like, they view humans the same way we view animals. If, hypothetically, I don't have a problem with one, I shouldn't have a problem with another.

3
mizejw•

Humanity often believes we're the pinnacle of creation and/or evolution, so vampires are often just targeted regardless.

2
Kayanne1990•

Yeah, it would be hard to sell if you wrote it into a story. But personally....I find it a good work around, morally speaking.

3
mizejw•

It brings up gray areas.

2
tankanoOP•

Absolutely, scenes like that are one of the reasons i want to become vegetarian, but ironically, im the only one in my family who cant eat, vegetables, fruit, etc. Its like a curse, fr. So thats why im trying to do this thing where you relearn to taste things.

2
mizejw•

I'm sorry to hear about that.

SnooChipmunks2216•

I get unnerved at times.

Definitely scary! The movie Daybreakers had a scene that showed humans basically being trapped cattle and it was freaky to see

2

You will get used to it

2
Elitegamez11•

Of course you aren't. That's fucked up. Also, I'm pretty sure being a vampire's "pet" is just slavery.

2
onyxaj•

You should read the Vampire Earth series by EE Knight. Essentially, the aliens are vampires and have enslaved humanity. The series revolves around one person who is part of the resistance.

2
tankanoOP•

Where can i read it?

I myself am into the thought to get bitten by a female one. Being bitten to death, I don't know if that's so great. On the other hand, you have to die at some point anyway. At least it would be the hottest death ever 🤷‍♂️

I'd love being used
