FRM replacement gone bad after only a couple thousand miles?

Hey guys, so a few months ago I had the FRM replaced in my 2012 e92 335i because most of the exterior lights went out simultaneously and replacing the FRM fixed it. But here I am a few months later and only a couple thousand miles later and it seems to be failing again. From what I can recall, it seems to be the same lights that have gone out this time too. At the time I had a new battery installed as well because the shop I took it too said the battery being too low was most likely the cause of the failure in the first place. But now I'm wondering, is there something else that could be causing the new one to fail too? or just a bad unit?
