A problem with Shankar's Sequels IMO

Opinion

Ok this is just a thought. I know that Shankar made only one sequel till now so I get it's unfair to judge with just that, im just sayin

Shankar takes small characterstics of his main character in the orignal film and completely makes the character revolve around that characterstic in the sequel.

For example in Enthiran, Rajni used to say "Dot" as a small characterstic. A cool, simple and small detail that Shankar made it into a defining characterstic in 2.0 Using it as a punch almost in every mass dialogue rajni had in 2.0.

In a way I think that was also one of the reasons the sequel didn't work out. Taking the small things that made the orignal great and try to make the sequel survive on that

Now after seeing Indian 2 teaser I'm worried it will suffer the same fate as 2.0

Small and cool details (sideplots? Idk) that werent major in the orignal Indian film such as senapathis belt knife or his technique to paralyse his enemies with his finger was a cool side characterstic and didn't define the entire senapathi character.

I know this is kinda stupid. Just thought of this.
