If you are my friend, I will defend you to the ends of the earth.
If you suddenly break off our friendship for reasons I do not understand, I will do everything I can to make up for anything I might’ve done wrong, and I will feel horrible and guilty, and very relieved if you return to me.
But if I find out you did that intentionally, in order to “test” me, and see if I’m “loyal” to you. Then congratulations. You just demolished our friendship. I will hate you. My thoughts will continue to spiral, and my hate will only grow. I despise people who do that with the harshest meaning of that word. I love deeply, and get hurt deeply too, and I do not appreciate being intentionally hurt so that you can feel good about yourself.
This has happened to me last week with someone I thought I trusted, and it’s been on my mind for a few days continuously, and I needed a place to post it. I keep alternating between depression and anger. I feel so alone.
