Help!! 45/dad with 7yr old son.

Can anyone tell me what assistance is available for me and my son. His mom is in and out, has been lying about petty shit, stealing from stores and over taking her medication (xanax). She is native Americans and has her tribal benefits to fall back on. I don't have anything of the sort. I do know that my son is 1/4 native American.
Can anyone assist in telling me options and where to start? I'm starting this journey only me and my son with nothing but our clothes and whatever is in house ( for as long as we live Here ). I've called catholic charity and have to call back Thursday. Any assistance is welcome.
