Screenrant is little more than copy/paste from other websites, which are basically copy/paste from Paramount press releases. I'd like to see more original reporting on these sites, but actual journalists cost actual money.

Lower Decks feels like the most Star Trek of the current series. It references past shows, gives us authentic unique characters, and is wildly efficient with the big idea sci Fi and is very entertaining.
That and Strange New Worlds and I’m good. Never felt like Discovery was any good. (In Space everyone can hear you scream, cry, pout, whine…)
The captain of Cerritos is way more powerful than mopey “let’s roll” Burnham. Gosh I just threw up in my mouth a little. lol.
I feel really bad for Sonequa and the rest of the cast, they deserve way way better scripts.

Honestly, I wish they would quit the reference stuff unless it's slightly tied in.
The best episodes are just new stories with minimal reference porn. The really forced callbacks to the 90s just...I dunno feel fo Gen X unnecessary at this point. The characters are great and original. Move it forward.

Honestly I think it would be great for her character for Shaw to represent the stigma of her past and the possibility for redemption, especially considering how they left things in such a horrible situation. Having him as her personal holo program or even a figure in her memory/dreams could work really well if it wasn't overplayed.

Given Section 31 is likely not going to be a Star Trek: Mission: Impossible series (which would be amazing), I’m not really sure I care…
I also think I’m about +20 years outside the demographic that a Starfleet Academy series is likely to be aimed at & don’t wholly care about whatever future century Discovery is in.
That said, I thought I was close to 40 years outside of Prodigy’s demographic & that is a great series, so I’m happy to wait & be proven wrong about my presumptions!

I want at least 3 more seasons of Lower Decks. I also want to see Jaylah again but I feel like that is unlikely. Going to see a Star Trek movie in the theaters used to be an event. I want to experience that again.

As far as live action: More SNW, Legacy, and literally anything set in between the end of Generations and the start of TNG.

Hopefully the writers ending a few weeks before means they had time to write better scripts but I doubt it. I'm expecting them to completely waste Michelle Yeoh with poor scripts.

A show about an Admiral and their staff overseeing a sector dealing with their captains who are constantly upending diplomatic stability and disobeying orders to ‘do what is right’ and having to clean up their messes.
”You put us on the brink of war…….again.”
”You were stuck in that temporal anomaly last week and today. Will you still be there next week?”
”I just told you to deliver a vaccine. How did you destroy their moon and then somehow get the crown princess pregnant with……SALAMANDER BABIES?”

I would like to see some ‘Lost Trek’ episodes. As in… please follow up on Subspace Rhapsody.
Have some videos the ensigns and cadets trade around from ships affected by the subspace rift.
I wanna see a full Klingon Pop song and I think a Vulcan style Bollywood song would be awesome.
But this is just to tide me over until the next season of Strange New Worlds.

I think they really captured lightning in a bottle with that episode and I loved it, but it would be a HUGE risk to go there again while that is still fresh in our minds. It will be nearly impossible to recapture that magic. (You see this all the time with film series where the first movie is somehow special and the others just can't recapture it.)

I smell a sitcom!
A "show within a show" of ferengi TV sitcoms. Maybe with some MST3K style commentary by former actors guest starring as their characters.
I was picturing more of a mockumentary style show about the comedic trials and tribulations of a production crew trying to make a trek show. Making fun of the tropes, cut aways to the actors. Sort of like the “Wormhole Extreme” episode from SG1.

Shows that were in the middle of production when the strike started will probably get back to work in two weeks or so.
