How are you balancing saving up for a property whilst pursuing FIRE at the same time??

I think this is the biggest challenge for FIRE folk and it's something I'm struggling with now. Of course the advertised alternative is to not bother with property and live a nomad life but I think that's a young persons game. You don't see any 80 year old nomads around for a reason. I don't think I'd ever be comfortable triggering FIRE unless I had a home I was comfortable in paid for in full.

At 33 I've gotten to a point in my life where I've saved a good portion and I'm on track to hit my FIRE number at 36 (this doesn't include property) but I'm now also seriously wanting to sort out my housing situation because shamefully I still live with my folks in London.
