He has mostly been smoking blunts for years and years, which must be just awful for his lungs. If I had to put money on it, we're going to find out in the next while that he hasn't quite cannabis at all, but isn't smoking it now. So, edibles.

I doubt he gave up THC. I'm assuming he's probably switching to edibles and other methods of delivery.
He probably noticed reduced lung function or something like that.

he posted about it publicly. I know he hasn't given his reasoning yet, but making a public announcement post is hardly "refusing to talk about it"

his statement was little more than "I am quitting smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time." He's an A- list celebrity who's never shown any hesitation talking about his private life or anything else on his mind. being this guarded it pretty much has to be something embarrassing.

You know there’s two sides of it because he’s also not the type of person does not talk about private things.
One theory I’ve heard that kind of makes sense is maybe he’s worried about his business if he does have COPD or lung cancer. And the reason this makes sense is if he was to say anything about that that would also make his business look bad….
On the other side of the coin, however, you got the whole theory that it’s purely business related. This is almost a way of advertising him his brand his businesses and his achievements I mean. And we know now that they’re on the cusp of releasing a series of edibles, so “giving up the smoke” would be an interesting way force eyes onto it.

Probably can’t breathe anymore. Maybe he had a heart attack or a cardiac episode. Who knows. Whatever his reason is, I’m sure he has a good reason. No smoke is good for you. It’s all hard on your body.
