The Holidays Are Upon Us

My BPD screamed all manner of obscenities at me this morning. I got quiet and responded as anyone should, I got quiet, resolved not to speak with them the rest of the day and went on to enjoy the rest of my day. It has taken me a long time to get to the point of being able to do this, but I will not give her one minute of my time or attention. My life and it's moments are too precious to waste on a monster intent on breaking me. If I want to counterattack, a simple smile, and purposefully moving towards my next goal has much more of an effect than anything else I could say or do. Your words have no power here, I am the peaceful monk I set out to be when I created my username.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, don't let them take one more minute of you, your thoughts, your emotions, or your body... you don't owe them anything. Let them say their unhinged words from across the street like the angry monsters they are and keep moving forward.
