Collection list

Question

I'm sure this has been discussed many times before but what do you guys think is the best way to keep track of your 4K's and your blu ray. Right now I just use Notes on my phone. Are there any apps or sites that do this better?

Thanks guys. Love to be in a group that shar e the same passion.

I’ve used the My Movies app from binnerup consulting on IOS for years to track my collection. They’ve went through a few major upgrades on the paid versions through the years, but I have happily paid for each version/upgrade as I find it invaluable (currently My Movies 4 Pro).

My problem with any collection app is that any of the good ones you need to pay for, and then your at the whim of their servers. If they close one day there goes that...

I keep all of mine in an excel document. The app on the phone works great for searching and adding things too and its free if you have an outlook account. Granted its not as visual and its bit more work to set up but ill never be dependent on someone elses servers.

I made a website for myself to display my collection the way I want. Previously, I solely used blu-ray.com but I was unsatisfied with some things so I made my website based off my blu-ray.com collection page. I still update blu-ray.com, but I don't rely on it

Maybe overkill for this purpose, but: you can create an account on the Letterboxd website/app, where you can make lists ("My 4K Blu Rays," for instance) or tag the 4k movies you own (you can easily sort movies by tags).

“My Movies” app by blu-ray.com is free and rooted in their database so it has all regions/releases. Has barcode scanning as well.

I recommend you to try SIMKL - Create a custom list for DVD collection just like this here. (with Private Notes like Watched in theater or 4K or 4D. )
