More Airport Xrays

Here's a couple of airport xrays. Sorry, I wasn't paying attention to make and model - I wanted to get away from the snot-nosed screaming babies...

First airport has the classic xray scanner. Looks like they pulsed my bag 3 or 4 times ... and I heard them saying something about shielding. Looks like they're running in the 65-75keV range. Clearly they're spraying much less xray radiation around - my detector recovers in 15s.

The second airport has newer CT scanners - we all like to compare our exposure to dental xrays, chest xrays, mammograms, or CT scans - and maybe they have the energy turned way up to penetrate large volumes of metal and they don't worry much about people getting harmed inside the scanner.

I composited a few screenshots to illustrate how long it takes for the glow to die down, and the apparent upper level of detected photons. Probably that's some kind of pile-up effect since InterSpec tells me I've got about 1% live time at these event rates.
