The "Church" Season

One Baltimore and city institution that doesn't get the "Wire" treatment would be the church; it is undoubtedly a part of the tapestry of the city of Baltimore, from Season 2 with the Dock workers to the ministers in Seasons 3/4. While they provide a backdrop, I would have been curious to see how the hollowing out of American inner-cities and the drug trade affected churches.

Surely they must have gone through the same struggles and hardships in leadership, systems, etc. that other elements of the city of Baltimore experienced. Interesting to see how a church season would have looked.
