For how long can my boiler manufacturer leave me without heat, and gas, in my case?
Edit: Forgot to mention, I'm in England.
Hi,
Going to try to cut the long story short, or try to.
Called a third party engineer a few weeks back as we've been having issues with our boiler. He advised to contact our manufacturer, ideal in my case. I did that, set up the out of options warranty payment plan yesterday, and I'm told over the phone that because of our high CO readings, the boiler has to be shut off.
Couple of things worth noting at this point.
We have 2 readers in the kitchen, they tend to go off once a week if that. Too inconsistent to tell. The boiler albeit questionable, did and would provide hot water and heat (more on that in a minute).
So they call out the emergency gas line, and they shut off gas for the entire house (hob included) and leave us with 2 heating fans. Things to note here.
It is a 3 floor 4 bed house. I'm legally disabled, we have an under 16, and have animals. 2 heating fans just simply isn't cutting it. Our saviour is that we have a couple of infra lights for our cats.
