Correcting some inaccuracies from Krayt posters

When they bashed the EU the other day, I saw a lot of posters insisting that the EU undermined George Lucas, as if they went behind his back. They brought up a lot of classic bullshit tactics the typical George Lucas haters and Disney crusaders use, like claiming that it was "never canon" or that "George hated Mara Jade!" Let's remember, George sued people over shit he hated! And mostly it was over a consistency issue. Do you actually think for one moment if he hated the EU or hated a character in it, that it'd even get made? Do these people honestly think for one moment George wasn't aware of everything the EU did and signed off on it? This was confirmed in The New Yorker.

Yes, it was checked and approved by George Lucas, that's fact, while George is not involved in Disney Star Wars on any level whatsoever. That's also fact. And so many rabid nuts over there seemed to take it very personally, in fact, the original post they were calling out wasn't even that bad. It wasn't calling people who like the sequels/Disney's canon stupid, it was calling it stupid in their opinion, so basically white-knighting Disney - you can tell this because a lot of them think Disney saved Star Wars, despite dwindling interest and a more divided fanbase than even in the old George Lucas era. Plus I find it the height of hypocrisy a lot of people there bitch about the EU without ever having read it. Yes, I'm going there, you can TELL they haven't read it, they think going off of the most well-repeated lines and well-known story beats makes them an expert, and it ain't so.

I'll say it again, there's a very sick irony to toxic people complaining about other toxic people's behavior. They make no effort to improve themselves and extend goodwill to other segments of the fanbase. I think a lot of people there loving being smug, superior assholes and use the "no toxicity" rule as a shield to hide behind.
