1440p 144hz with the occasional Ray Tracing. Should I buy a 4070 or 4070 Ti? Or should I just wait for the new GPUs in January?

So I plan on upgrading to 1440p 144hz soon and I’d like to play some games like Cyberpunk, Jedi Survivor, Metro Exodus, etc with RT. Will the 4070 be enough for what I want to play or should I stretch my budget a bit and get a 4070 Ti? Or should I just wait for the rumored GPUs in January?

My main issue with the 4070 Ti is that’s it’s $800 for 12 GB vram but allegedly the 4070 Ti Super bumps that up to 16 which is better. Still though, my original budget is around $500. Coming from a 6700 XT the 4060 Ti makes no sense for me so the next GPU in line would be the 4070. I do plan on upgrading again within 3 years depending on how new games are optimized.
