Just denied by UMR

United Healthcare just denied me for Entyvio. I was in the hospital for nearly a week related to complications from my ulcerative colitis. I was just diagnosed a few months ago with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis. My doctor did a peer to peer and was denied. United Healthcare wants me to start on an alternative therapy first, a therapy two different doctors did not recommend for me.

I can’t believe insurance companies are allowed to act doctor. I trust my doctor’s recommendations, not my insurance’s.
