What is happening, WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?!

So, I’m about halfway through City of Brass, and really enjoying it so far. Not going to lie, I originally picked it up because of how beautiful the third books cover is, but I have been enjoying the story as well, though it is a bit slow.

Maybe I’m just dumb, but I cannot for the life of me keep track of who is what. Like, the djinns vs daevas and the religion stuff, the nahids, etc. I think I’m just missing the intricacies of who belongs to what religion and what all the different types of beings are. Can anyone help make it clearer?
