Does anyone else think the Wraith were originally going to straight-up eat humans?

Something random I've always wondered and wondered who else has lol. In the early concepts for SGA, were the Wraith going to be actually eating humans and not just feeding off their life force?

It seems like their design was with this in mind with the long nails/claws, sharp teeth, etc. They seem to be inspired in part by the Morlocks in The Time Machine novel. Even their design seems very similar to the "Uber Morlock" played by Jeremy Irons in the 2002 film (https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/timemachine/images/5/50/%C3%9Cber-Morlock.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20090807065306).

But, then at some point someone was like "yeah... that might be a little much for this show."

I mean at the end of the day, it doesn't matter because they are still "feeding" on humans and treating them like livestock so their MO and behavior is the same.

I'm just curious if anyone thinks at one point this was going to be what the wraith were. Or if anybody knows from behind-the-scenes stuff or interviews.
