Accidentally hit tooth with jacket zipper, now feels numb - will it heal naturally?

Hi everyone! I just accidentally hit one of my teeth while playing around with a metal jacket zipper, and now it feels a bit numb (especially at the top of the tooth - the bottom of it if anything feels like there's more blood than normal flowing around it). Is this an issue that I should get checked out, or will it resolve itself on its own? Are there any things I should look out for as warning signs?
