Grad direct plus loan

Hi guys. First time borrower here. I got my money for my federal loans to pay for school but I’ll need supplemental income in form of grad direct plus this coming spring. I’m unable to apply for the 2023-2024 year because the drop down menu to apply doesn’t have that period yet. When does this open? Am I too late? Am I too early? I’m stressing because I’m not able to work during school and will need the income.
