Biopsy results -delayed for further processing

Hello, I’m a 35-year-old female and I have Barrett esophagus and gastritis and pre-cancer in my stomach. I have an endoscopy yearly to make sure everything hasn’t changed. I had my endoscopy on November 1 and then I forgot about it until it was about three weeks and I haven’t heard from them. I was hoping no news is good news.

But I decided to call them anyway and I spoke with the nurse and she said that the biopsy is pending further her review and is taking longer than expected.

I still haven’t heard from them and now I’m freaking out a little bit . I don’t know if this is good bad or just like maybe an error. Has anybody else dealt with this, grueling wait?
