LA Times article saying school policies are to blame for teen suicide spikes and schools aren't doing enough. Thoughts?

Schools are blamed for too much these days. Where are the parents in all this? Take away the phone and you might see an improvement. The fact it correlates to school seems to be an easier chance to feel isolated, left out, and compare/despair.

I've worked in a high school for 25 years, phone use has just increased feelings of isolation on campus for most students. Also, it is an easy way to hide in uncomfortable or awkward settings (like being around new people) which just enhances the 'left out' feeling going forward.
