Who do you guys think will be the party standard bearer post Trump?

The faces of both parties aren't exactly "spring chickens" and this is likely the final run for them both. Now, I always thought the smart money for Desantis, Haley or whomever would have been to wait Trump out, due to the iron grip he still has on the party ( not to mention his penchant to "hex" those he deems disloyal), and maybe cozy up to him to get shot a VP, and in 4 yours the limelight is yours. Full disclosure I'm fairly left-wing in thinking and politics (I come in peace lol) and just thought you folks would have a far better insight into the intricacies of Conservative/Republican politics.
