High paying jobs for 3+ years of SCM experience
Hello everyone,
I’m looking to make my next move in order to have a better career path that allows for a larger long term salary cap.
There are a few ideas I have regarding next steps but don’t know many people that have similar experience.
I tried for a few months to get into product management positions within the tech field but that has proven to be extremely difficult to even land an interview. (In addition to knowing what companies to look for)
Applying out to a senior buyer position, is the most attainable since I’m currently in a similar role and don’t mind what I do. However what hinders my willingness to go full speed ahead on this is that eventually I’ll meet another ceiling. I would like my next jump to put me into the 90-110k range.
Considering my experience level and what I want out of my career I think supply chain consulting is also on the table. Unfortunately I don’t know anyone that has done this, which makes it difficult to judge how much I’d be getting paid and what kind of work I’d be doing.
Experience:
So far I’ve been at my current company for about 1.6 years now as a buyer making 78k in Michigan. I have 2 years of previous experience in supply chain at other well recognized automotive companies.
Graduated from a Top 25 school with a GSCM degree.
Additionally:
I think I’ve had enough of the automotive field and want something new with a younger demographic of workers.
Any suggestions help.
Or if you know any recruiters in the NY area that might be able to help it’d be greatly appreciated.
Feel free to DM as well!!
