Consultation Completed on 11/29/23. What to expect during my first nutrition class - scheduled 12/22/23?

My consultation appointmen this week went great and my surgeon suggested the gastric sleeve would be the best option for me since I take medication for depression (less absorption issues compared to the gastric bypass). I am 5"4" and current weight is 208. I was told by my surgeon I need to get down to 197lbs to be considered for surgery. I have my first nutrition appointment on 12/22/23 and have no idea what to expect.

1. Can you please share what the first appointment was like? Do you get a meal plan and do you begin consuming nothing but protein shakes, chicken and fish, and eating a low carb diet? I have no idea what to expect.....
