How can I avoid falling into relapse again?
Hello,
After about a year on SSRIs, my psychiatrist finally told me we can suspend the meds for a month a check the results. This is the first time I finish the treatment without me leaving the meds on my own. Whenever I left the SSRIs I got relapse symptoms so I decided to give it the time recommended by the doctor to break the on and off cycle. This time, I would like to know some changes that would help me to avoid rising the depressions levels that high again.
So far I've done these changes:
-Closed Instagram to avoid comparing myself
-Exercises 5 days a week on CrossFit Classes
-Still on Therapy with a Counselor
-Quit amazon prime to avoid emotional shopping
-Taking Omega 3 and Vitamin D3 daily
-Taking Multivitamin on CrossFit Days
-Stop Watching Porn and masturbating without any stimulation when sexual tension is very high
-Re-Living my old love for old Pokémon Games :P
-Leaving work phone in the car to avoid taking it inside home-
Occasionally hanging out with friends
Things I'm going to try:
-Going to movies to watch some good flix
-Dedicate time to myself to watch TV shows
-Reading books on Kindle Paperwhite
-Continue Guitar as a Hobby
-Dedicate time to self-care, grooming, massages, etc
-I bought some probiotics which argue they boost Tryptophan
-Meditate
-Listen to my body and do what I really want to do
-Learn to disappoint without feeling horrible
What else you recommend. I would really like to leave without meds since they make me feel hot and I live in a Caribbean country and I gained like 30 pounds while on it.
