Switching from Ritalin to Ritalin LA

So for the last month i have been taking normal short realease ritalin goin from 2x 5mg dosis a day to now 2x 20mg (going up 10 mg a week) the 2x 20 mg has been working fine least week but now when i take it i feel horrible, heart racing, twitchy and generally all over the place. It honestly felt like I was gonna have a panic attack (i dont consume any caffeine, but in general i eat little to nothing in the morning) and the last few times i took it it had the same effect.

I had a talk with my doc and he switched my prescription to 40 mg ritalin LA, I am worried that I might have the same horrible feeling and since LA lasts longer I am scared that I might not be able to get out of that feeling.

So I am kinda seeking advice, I read on some posts that LA is gentler and i just wanna know if my worries are warranted or if I can any actions to make the expirience better.
