Hospital dress code?

Is there an informal/formal dress code as social workers in a hospital? Just had my midterm evaluation as a MSW student with my supervisors and they commented on how I shouldn’t wear my sweater that says, “PlayStation” on it. I used to work at a different hospital before and was never told this by my manager or team lead. Was this unprofessional of me? I was also told not to wear things like Nike or adidas as clients experiencing financial difficulties may be disconnected from us, but I have a hard time understanding this since everyone wears figs and lululemon hoodie, which arguably is more expensive.
