Accountant suggest contributing 10k to my SEP IRA

Retirement

This is my first year contributing to my IRA. I would need to fund it before the end of the year so I'm looking for some advice on how to allocate it. My SEP IRA is through Schwab

If it's your first year contributing, I assume you're a few decades from retiring.

The simple option would be a target date fund. Pick one with a target date when you'd be roughly 65 years old.

Thank you! I'm researching now! I've got about 3 decades left of work in me :P

A SEP IRA is funded by the employer. I assume you are self-employed? You have until your self-employment tax filing deadline to make employer contributions for a tax year.

Thank you! I was mistaken on the deadline so I've got a little more time to do my homework.

Schwab has great target date index funds - you can't go wrong!
