**What are your goals for your car audio system - as loud as possible (SPL)? Sound quality (SQ)? Some combination of both? Describe to us how you want your system to sound.**

SQ takes priority over SPL. I listen to a lot of EDM and love bass, but I'm not trying to make my neighbors' windows rattle every time I get in the truck. Initially, I was going to go with two 10" subs under the back seat of my truck. Now I'm considering two 12" subs plus new speakers all around,( 4- 6x9's and 2- 2.75 for the dash.)

**What vehicle? - year, make, model, type (coupe, sedan, SUV, truck, etc.)**

2019 Ram 1500 Rebel 4 door truck (New body style)

* **What is your maximum budget?**

$4500 USD MAX, Ideally I wouldn't have to go over $3500 (It is very important that I get a set up I won't regret. $3500 seems like it would be plenty to have a good sound system that will last for some time from the research I've done. If its agreed that more is required, than I can revisit that number.

* **Will you be installing the gear or are you going to a shop? If a shop is doing the work, does your budget include the cost of labor?**

I will be having a shop perform the work and my budget reflects that. From the 3 different estimates I've gotten, I believe labor will be somewhere between $300 and $400.

**What gear is in your existing system? (Is it stock? List any aftermarket gear.)**

I am the second owner of this truck. From what I've seen I believe the previous owner had put in aftermarket speakers though I have not confirmed. The truck has ANC which I have disabled using a wiring harness with a built in bypass.

**What is your country of purchase? Leave any finishing thoughts here.**

I'm purchasing in California, USA. As far as finishing thoughts go, I do have a few. Firstly, for my box, I want one that can fit underneath the bench seat in the back of the truck as well as the subs facing downward. I really liked the custom box by Fox Acoustics, but if a generic carpeted box makes more sense, so be it. As far as equipment goes, I'm not sure on a brand yet, 1 shop uses JL audio subs and amps, with morel speakers. Another uses Kicker subs and speakers, and the third used all Cerwin- Vega gear. Is one of these brands especially good or bad. Are there things I should look to avoid or lean towards? I could not even say I have a working knowledge of sound systems so choosing the right system is proving especially difficult in this case.
