What do you think makes groups unpopular in korea?

I was curious, it seems so random which groups gain the favor of the public and which don't. Groups like oh my girl didn't gain much attention from Korean audiences until a particular point in their career, why do you think so?

Please exclude big 3 + Hybe groups from this, unless a group from them happened to be deeply unpopular for some reason.
