Partner suffered mild concussion and now we can’t stop fighting. Is this normal?

Questions

My partner had his concussion around two weeks ago and has been fully discharged/told he can return to all normal activities. However, he’s been uncharacteristically snappy/angry/short tempered. He’s noticed it too, and gets sad with how he’s been acting towards me since his head accident. We just keep getting into upsets over silly things like usb cables and just today, time zones. After the fact, he gets depressed for the rest of the evening because we never used to fight and he never used to treat me like this- it hurts and exhausts me and that kills him. I keep telling him that we both just aren’t ourselves right now because he’s probably still healing and i’m still mentally dealing with what happened as well as a bunch of other life events that happened at the same time that I had to process alone in isolation because he was in hospital (it was a horrible time in an almost cosmically bad way. Like it was planned to be a shitty two weeks in the book of fate lol). I am hoping it’s just him still needing time for his brain to heal and I need to deal with my emotions and trauma/pain. But, does anyone have experience with this? Did your relationship change or end because of a Tbi? Or will this pass? He is the greatest person to ever walk into my life and has always been amazing to me. I’m just hurting so much.
