Etsy or ebay seat covers

Has anyone tried etsy or ebay seat covers that go for 250 to 600 dollars? If so, are they better than the super slidy plastic originals? I dont really want to spend 1.5k for nappa leather plus 500 dollars for seat foam.

Spend a bit extra and get good seats. C5 seats were trash new, and 20 years of wear and tear doesn't help. Plenty of great aftermarket options that are better in every way

The original seats look and feel nice to me aside from the trash pleather. What seta did you go with?

Corbeau Evos. They're a compromise between a street seat and race seat. They're not particularly great at either, but far better than stock.

You get what you pay for. Having recently purchasing & installing the Top Flight sport seat covers, they're a great value despite the price tag (take advantage of their 25% discount!). It's my favorite upgrade I've done so far - it changes the feel of the car & you can appreciate it every time you're behind the wheel.

Did you replace the seat foam as well? If so, was it tricky trimming the foam to fit? Ah, one more question. Was the leather soft like real leather?

Yes, upgraded the seat foam to the sport-style - there's much more stability on the sides & better lumbar support. There was minimal trimming of the foam but definitely easier with 2-people for some portions of the install.

The leather is premium in both looks & feel & the embroidery is a nice touch. They do create cheaper vinyl options which is probably closer to the OEM material.

neither Ebay nor Etsy actually sell anything. they are just listing agents for 3rd party sellers. Check who the seller is, and you will often find they have "storefronts" on both platforms.

I have some neoprene style covers that are decently thick and I've been using them for 5+ years. I think i got them from MidAmerica sportscars? They were like $200 for the pair.

They don't add any extra padding but have done a nice job keeping me from sliding as much

On a c5 or c6 I would be looking at aftermarket seats. Loved the corbeau fx1s I had in my last car
