No rest for the wicked

Just started my first Hardcore run and things aren't going well to say the least.

First boss was mother mind and my memory said "ez", yet I barely beat the boss, having survived the last hit from it with like 1hp left (barely saw the bar). But I did it, so lets continue and rest first... Can't go back because path got destroyed in the fight, so lets go forward and rest after entering the next zone.

The next zone has no rest point there... Like, wtf? Can't go back to rest, can't go forward to rest and I'm now in the middle of nowhere at barely any hp left and nothing left to heal myself. (Forbidden Grove in Yaesha)

Gonna have to rely on my prime perk to survive now. This means 10min breaks again and again and again till I find a rest point...

I feel like this is an oversight on the devs part because I don't remember any other point in the game where you can't find a rest point near you, even if that might mean walking a bit backwards.
