(36) No handyman skills but worked in restaurants and brewery's for 20 yrs.

Hi all, I don't have any prior construction or trade skills related to electrical, but due to medical reasons I had to abandon the restaurant biz after 20 years.

For the last few years I got my associates degree of science and have ping ponged from a few jobs never feeling a path at them. I am eyeing IBEW for an apprenticeship but kinda scared since I have no experience in it at all. I have a little over a week to apply. I'm great in math and problem solving and good with my hands.

Any advice? My guess is to just go in and talk to them and sign up. Anything I should know before hand? (I know its really hard to become an apprentice.)
