Logitech G Pro X Wireless 2 Mic Issues

I recently purchased the Logitech G Pro X Wireless 2 and pretty much everyone I game with in discord immediately went "your mic sounds absolutely awful", comments like its extremely muffled, unclear, and either blown out or two quiet based on any settings I changed. I changed the physical orientation a bunch, messed with windows and bluevoice/ghub settings, tried a bunch of presets. I ended up simply just taking the mic off my G Pro X wireless (original 2 year old headset) and plugged into into the G Pro X 2 and I was immediately met with overwhelming comments about how it sounded so much better and clear.

What is going on here? Is my mic defective? Is the G Pro X 2 Wireless mic just trash? I didn't change any settings anywhere between the original headset swap or during swapping the physical mic.

If you are reading this and you own both headsets did you experience the same issue? If you are on the fence on buying, and you care about mic quality, maybe hold off?
