Getting records from the population register

From what I have found, my great grandma/grandma lived in Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany.

They emigrated to the US from Hamburg Germany in 1952. My grandma was a minor at the time. She was only 1 years old. I am trying to figure out where to request for population register for her? I am not sure which district they were in..
