My locs have been interlocked together, I need advise

So I started my microlocs about 5 months ago. Recently I had to look for a new loctician for a retie and she interlocked many of my locs together and without my permission. Since realizing what she did I’ve been to two separate consultations with other locticians who both advised me that I would I have to take them down and start over. I spent over 1k to start my locs so this is the worst thing that can happen. My question is two fold:

1. Do I have to take them all down?? Is there a way that I can undo the combined locs? Both locticians said they couldn’t do that and would only take me in as a client if decided to restart them. Is there a way I can fix them myself? Is there any locticians that would be willing to work with me without taking them down? I’m willing to try anything to avoid having to pay 1k+ again and starting my journey over again.

2. Is there anything I can do about the loctician who combined my locs without my permission? I’m so upset that she did this without my consent. I would at least like to receive a refund for the retie session. Could this be something I could sue for? I haven’t said anything yet to her, first I want to say least understand all options here.
