So I'm paying for a 1000Mbps internet, but my PS5's download speed drops when other devices are connected! Help!

Hi everyone,

I'm having a frustrating issue with my internet speed and I was hoping someone here might have some insight.

Here's the situation:

• I have a 1000Mbps internet connection.
• My PS5 is connected directly to my router via an ethernet cable.
• When I disconnect all other devices from the router and only have the PS5 connected, I get download speeds of 800+Mbps.
• However, as soon as I connect just two other devices to the router (e.g., laptops), the download speed on the PS5 drops to below 100Mbps.

This is incredibly frustrating, as I obviously want to be able to utilize my full internet speed on my PS5, especially when other devices are also connected.

I've already tried some basic troubleshooting steps, such as:

• Restarting the router and modem
• Using different ethernet cables
• Checking for firmware updates on the router
• Configuring QoS settings on the router (although I'm not sure I did this correctly)

Unfortunately, none of these solutions have worked.

Does anyone have any other ideas or suggestions on how I can fix this issue?
